Hi, my name is Sandra Wiese, and I started Kindersafe in 2006 because          I felt there is a need for affordable, uncomplicated ways to ID a child,         should that child get lost at various places outside your house.

Why do we tag our dogs and luggage but not our own children!     Unfortunately so many kids get lost without any info of                                   the “owners” or parents.

My children are aged 7 and 3, and my daughter got lost in 2006                      at a playground, and she was so hysterical, that she was unable                    to talk. We found her later that day with a dad holding her trying              desperately to calm her. If my daughter had any form of                   identification on her, the dad could have easily contacted us!

I however realize that a wristband and tag would not solve the huge     problem of child abduction, and that is why my biggest challenge                    for 2010 is to bring child safety education to South Africa.

In 2008 my business partner, Christelle Lefson, joined Kindersafe,                 and together our mission is to bring affordable                                              child safety products and education to South Africa.
